Area of focus
My style is psychodynamic and integrative, tailoring my work to recognize each client’s unique needs.
I help clients reduce current symptoms, using tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), while also exploring deeper patterns and “root causes” through a psychodynamic lens, and by using techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS).
The goal isn’t just to ease symptoms, but to support meaningful change and lasting healing.
I have been in practice for over 10 years, and feel comfortable working with a wide range of concerns. Many clients struggling with anxiety, depression, familial/relationship issues, perfectionism, low self-esteem, OCD, and issues of spirituality have found our work together helpful.
Additionally, I have specialized training and experience in working with eating disorders. I’m an active member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
I completed my graduate training and post-graduate work in the California Bay Area, and have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient community clinics, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs, and on-campus settings. I’m licensed in California and offer virtual sessions to clients located there.
I chose this profession to support others in experiencing the freedom that comes with healing, and never cease to find myself humbled and inspired by my clients’ resiliency and strength.
I live in the Kansas City area, and have a variety of interests, including spending time with my family, yoga, music, tennis, and perpetually being outdoors.
