“Why can’t I just move on?”

Haunted by memories that won’t let go. Stuck in patterns that feel impossible to break. Pulled between wanting peace but feeling trapped by old wounds.

At Mend Center for Psychotherapy, we help you make sense of the confusing impact of trauma, guiding you toward deeper self-understanding, more fulfilling relationships, and the freedom to live with greater ease and clarity.

Who is Trauma Therapy for?

Trauma doesn’t always come from one moment, it can build quietly over time. Our trauma therapy is for people who feel stuck in cycles they can’t explain and want to break free.

At Mend, we meet you where you are, helping you understand your story, heal from past wounds, and move toward deeper connection.

Why Choose Trauma Therapy at Mend Center for Psychotherapy

We do more than manage symptoms, we help you create lasting, meaningful change by addressing the root causes of your struggles.

Deep, Relational Healing

We believe healing happens through relationships. Our therapists use connection, trust, and deep dialogue to help you access and integrate the parts of yourself that have been hidden or wounded.

Specialized in Complex Trauma

Our therapists are trained in psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, and attachment-based approaches, designed to help you navigate trauma that may feel complicated, longstanding, or hard to name.

A Path to Authentic Self-Connection

This isn’t surface-level work. We help you develop a stronger sense of self, deepen your capacity for meaningful relationships, and experience life with more clarity, agency, and aliveness.

Our Approach to Trauma Therapy

At Mend, we take a relational, depth-oriented approach that invites you to explore the hidden layers of your story to help you reclaim your wholeness.

Psychodynamic Therapy
We help you uncover unconscious patterns shaped by early experiences and relationships. This allows for deep understanding and long-term healing, not just symptom relief.
An evidence-based method to help you safely process traumatic memories, reduce their emotional intensity, and foster emotional integration.
Together, we explore how early attachment wounds continue to shape your current relationships. This helps build new, healthier relational experiences in and outside of therapy.
We use present-moment emotional work to support healing, fostering self-compassion, resilience, and deeper emotional connections.

Why Work With Mend Center for Psychotherapy

You're not a problem to fix, but a story to understand.

At Mend Center for Psychotherapy, we believe therapy should go deeper than symptom relief. Our work is rooted in the belief that many of the challenges people face, anxiety, disconnection, trauma, burnout, stem from unspoken pain, relational wounds, and unseen patterns. These aren’t signs of weakness. They’re signs of something important needing attention.

We specialize in in-depth, relational psychotherapy that helps bring those hidden parts of the self into awareness, to help you feel more alive, more connected, and more fully yourself.

Our therapists are trained in psychodynamic, attachment-informed, and trauma-focused modalities. We work with people who’ve tried therapy before but didn’t get the depth or clarity they needed. Whether you’re facing a major transition or a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right, we help you understand your inner world so you can move through it with clarity and compassion.

Healing takes time, courage, and the right support. We’re here when you’re ready.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or repeating the same patterns, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin.
Your therapist will conduct an initial assessment to determine why you are coming to therapy, why now, and your specific goals. They will work with you to determine a specific treatment plan for your needs as well as give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the therapeutic process.
Your therapist will work with you to assess and determine the appropriate treatment plan for your situation. In our experience, therapy is most helpful when attended weekly for at least 3-6 months. You and your therapist will continue to reevaluate frequency based on your specific needs and goals.
