“Why do I feel this way, and what can I do about it?”
When something feels off but you can’t quite explain it, psychological assessment can offer the clarity you’ve been missing. Maybe you’ve struggled to find the right diagnosis, or you’re unsure why therapy doesn’t seem to be working. Perhaps you’re wondering if ADHD, anxiety, or a mood disorder might be part of the picture, or you’re simply seeking answers about how your mind works.
At Mend Center for Psychotherapy, we offer tailored psychological assessments to help you understand the unseen dynamics beneath your struggles. Whether you’re pursuing accommodations, clarity around your diagnosis, or a deeper understanding of yourself, we help you name what’s been hard to articulate, so you can move forward with confidence and direction.

Who Are Psychological Assessments For?
- Are navigating attention, mood, or personality concerns and want clarity around diagnosis and treatment options.
- Feel stuck in therapy and want deeper insight to guide their next steps.
- Need accommodations for school, work, or other settings and require formal documentation.
- Are exploring their vocational direction or seeking clarity around life transitions and personal goals.
Assessments at Mend Center for Psychotherapy are ideal for individuals age 6 and up who are ready to invest in deeper understanding. Our process is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the questions that matter most to you.
How Psychological Assessments Can Help

Identify the root of your challenges, whether cognitive, emotional, or relational, so you can move forward with more confidence and a clearer sense of self.
Targeted treatment planning
Gain a more accurate diagnosis and customized treatment recommendations, helping therapy become more effective and aligned with your goals.
Support for life decisions
Receive guidance for school, career, or relational challenges with objective data and compassionate interpretation that supports your next steps.

How It Works
Schedule a Free Consultation
Start by filling out our online appointment request form or calling our clinical coordinator. We’ll talk through your needs and match you with the right clinician for your assessment.
Begin with an Intake Session
In your first session, we’ll clarify your goals for assessment, explore your concerns, and determine the appropriate types of testing to move forward with.
Complete Your Assessment Process
You’ll attend one or more testing sessions (typically 3–10 hours total, depending on your needs). Afterward, we’ll meet for a feedback session where we review your results, answer your questions, and provide tailored recommendations.

Positive Outcomes of Psychological Assessment
A well-designed psychological assessment can be a turning point, offering insight, validation, and direction that extends beyond a diagnosis. Clients often experience:
- A clearer understanding of their strengths and challenges
- Relief in having language for previously confusing or hidden struggles
- More effective, tailored treatment recommendations
- Confidence in making decisions about therapy, school, work, or life direction
Why Work With Mend Center for Psychotherapy
You're not a problem to fix, but a story to understand.
At Mend Center for Psychotherapy, we believe therapy should go deeper than symptom relief. Our work is rooted in the belief that many of the challenges people face, anxiety, disconnection, trauma, burnout, stem from unspoken pain, relational wounds, and unseen patterns. These aren’t signs of weakness. They’re signs of something important needing attention.
We specialize in in-depth, relational psychotherapy that helps bring those hidden parts of the self into awareness, to help you feel more alive, more connected, and more fully yourself.
Our therapists are trained in psychodynamic, attachment-informed, and trauma-focused modalities. We work with people who’ve tried therapy before but didn’t get the depth or clarity they needed. Whether you’re facing a major transition or a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right, we help you understand your inner world so you can move through it with clarity and compassion.
Healing takes time, courage, and the right support. We’re here when you’re ready.
