“How did we get here?”

Arguments that never resolve. Emotional distance that feels impossible to bridge. Conversations that leave you feeling unseen, unheard, or stuck in the same painful cycle.

At Mend Center for Psychotherapy, we help couples move beyond these stuck patterns, toward deeper understanding, restored trust, and a more connected relationship.

Who Couples & Marriage Counseling Is For

Couples therapy is for partners who feel disconnected, stuck in conflict, or unsure how to move forward together. Whether your relationship feels strained or you simply want to deepen your connection, we can help you navigate it.

Why Choose Couples Counseling at Mend Center for Psychotherapy

Our approach goes beyond surface-level advice, it helps you understand each other on a deeper level, fostering meaningful and lasting change in your relationship.

Heal and Rebuild Trust

Work through betrayals, ruptures, and past hurts with guidance from skilled therapists who help you rebuild safety and trust.

Communicate with Clarity

Learn to express needs openly, resolve conflicts more effectively, and move away from the same frustrating cycles.

Strengthen Emotional Connection

Reconnect emotionally, rediscover intimacy, and build a relationship where both partners feel seen, valued, and understood.

Our Approach to Couples Therapy

We use evidence-based, relational approaches designed to help you understand each other more deeply and create lasting change.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Helps couples identify negative patterns, express underlying needs, and foster a more secure emotional bond. EFT focuses on creating new cycles of connection and responsiveness.
Explores how early attachment experiences shape your current relationship patterns, helping you both develop more secure, connected ways of relating.
We guide couples in uncovering unconscious dynamics and unresolved wounds that impact their relationship, creating space for greater understanding, healing, and intimacy.

Why Work With Mend Center for Psychotherapy

You're not a problem to fix, but a story to understand.

At Mend Center for Psychotherapy, we believe therapy should go deeper than symptom relief. Our work is rooted in the belief that many of the challenges people face, anxiety, disconnection, trauma, burnout, stem from unspoken pain, relational wounds, and unseen patterns. These aren’t signs of weakness. They’re signs of something important needing attention.

We specialize in in-depth, relational psychotherapy that helps bring those hidden parts of the self into awareness, to help you feel more alive, more connected, and more fully yourself.

Our therapists are trained in psychodynamic, attachment-informed, and trauma-focused modalities. We work with people who’ve tried therapy before but didn’t get the depth or clarity they needed. Whether you’re facing a major transition or a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right, we help you understand your inner world so you can move through it with clarity and compassion.

Healing takes time, courage, and the right support. We’re here when you’re ready.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or repeating the same patterns, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin.
Your therapist will conduct an initial assessment to determine why you are coming to therapy, why now, and your specific goals. They will work with you to determine a specific treatment plan for your needs as well as give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the therapeutic process.
Your therapist will work with you to assess and determine the appropriate treatment plan for your situation. In our experience, therapy is most helpful when attended weekly for at least 3-6 months. You and your therapist will continue to reevaluate frequency based on your specific needs and goals.
